The Tech Hub is delighted to welcome Stanford Psychiatry Grand Rounds speaker, Dr. Jessica Schleider, PhD, of Northwestern University to join us for an intimate Q&A session on March 19th, 12-1pm PT. This discussion will expand upon themes covered in her Grand Rounds talk “Leveraging Single-Session Interventions to Bridge Gaps in Mental Health Ecosystems” and will be an opportunity to ask Dr. Schleider questions about her work in a more conversational setting. Dr. Schleider’s Grand Rounds talk (March 13th 12-1pm PT, available to members of the Department only) will explore the potential of ‘single-session interventions’ (SSIs) as a powerful approach to addressing mental health challenges and increasing service engagement. She will discuss cutting-edge research on how, why, and for whom SSIs can be effective, shedding light on their role in reducing symptoms and improving access to care. Additionally, Dr. Schleider will examine strategies for implementing evidence-based SSIs across different sectors, ensuring their impact extends to real-world settings.
About the speaker: Dr. Jessica Schleider is the Founding Director of the Lab for Scalable Mental Health and Associate Professor of Medical Social Sciences, Pediatrics, and Psychology at Northwestern University. She also serves as Director of Digital Services at Northwestern's Center for Behavioral Intervention Technologies.Her professional mission is to build, test, and disseminate scalable, evidence-based mental health solutions that bridge gaps in mental health systems, with a focus on single-session interventions (SSIs) for underserved youth.
